Greubel's MMA kickboxing wins big in Las Vegas!

K-1/kickboxing tournament!

   Greubel's MMA would like to congratulate Adam Poore, Nathan Key, Edgar Nickson, Drew Pye, Lakesha Springle, and Chris Richardson with great kickboxing performances at the 2015 WAKO North American K-1/Kickboxing tournament, in Las Vegas on July 10-11! Greubel's MMA kickboxers have consistently produced CHAMPION after CHAMPION since opening in it's doors in Dec of 2005. When all was said and done on July 11th, 4 of the 6 fighters emerged gold medal winners, and 2 of the fighters had great performances in the finals winning silver medals respectively. Adam Poore, who usually fights in the 147 lb division had to move up in weight unexpectedly and fought a brilliant fight against the TBA 156 lb U.S. champion winning the 156 lb K-1 division.  Chris Richardson won an easy unanimous decision in the 165 lb low-kick division. Chris fought a tough fighter from Chicago , but was able to knock him down in the 2nd round with a well placed liver kick. Lakesha Springle looked spectacular against the Mexican National team member in the ladies 132 lb K-1 division. Her movement and speed made it impossible for the Mexican competitor to ever do any substantial damage. This left Lakesha with the decisive win from all 3 judges. Nathan Key looked unstoppable. In his first fight against the Pan-American champion from Mexico, Nathan dropped his opponent with a beautifully timed head kick. Nathan would go on to knock his opponent down 2 more times to force a referee stoppage because of the 3 knockdown rule. He then advanced to the finals to meet a strong competitor from California. This fight also ended in a knockout, but this time it was a precisely placed left hand that would do the trick.  Not a bad weekend for Greubel's MMA and Augusta, GA!
